Heat

This little painting is acrylics on canvas, and represents working in a foundry. (2008)

Runes Draft

Playing around with runes. Thinking about creating a couple scenes with them. This particular rune in this context means "signals," so burning a pile of them was the idea. It's very rudimentary in execution, though, because it was a quick paint.

Concept for Bully Hill

I'm working on creating Bully Hill from bones. These bones I've taken from Barron's Anatomy Flash Cards, just to work out the idea. I've ripped the bones apart and then created 2 drawings (last 2 drawings) in Photoshop CS3. I've also included an abstract sketch of mine to show the style I'll be drawing the piece in (top photo).

monster baby sketch

Ok, it's a quick drawing done after looking at some Giger pics... (2008)

Syd Barrett

Ah, Syd Barrett! A worn out sketch it is. When I scribbled this one out, there was a guy I know sitting across from me in the cafe, late one night. He mentioned something about it being "too feminine." In fact, it was so "feminine" that he bothered another patron about it. I wonder why. Who knows.(2007)

Fish

These fish are headed somewhere. I think I know where. Ink on paper. (2007)

eye fish

An eye-fish. It could also be called a fish-eye, maybe. It's a print from wood, in oil and watercolor. (2008)

Trim Castle

Castle Trim! Where is it again? I can't remember. Watercolors and ink on watercolor paper. (2008)

Lost Souls

Some sort of abstract piece. A couple contained within the rusty confines of modern conformity. (2008)

Monster

Sometimes creatures come out of nowhere. (2007)

Bunny

This type of drawing is something everyone must carry around in their pocket--in case of the urge to have a one night stand. I kid you not. These things happen, and condoms do break. Ink on paper. (2007)

Horse

This one is a nice exploration of shapes. Ink on paper. (2007)

Bird

A bird of some sort. It's done in ink on paper. (2007)

Mercury Baby

I have no idea where this little one came from. Just an image inside the rusty part of my skull... graphite on paper. (2007)

Art Design

Some sort of art design. I guess I was drunk at the time. Pencil crayon on paper. (2006)

Jonathan Davis Again

Yeah, it's another Jonathan Davis piece. The guy is so hot he melts even the most frigid heart. Graphite on paper. (2006)

Another Pete Doherty Sketch

Yeah, Doherty is definitely an interesting face to draw. Can't help it. He's like the worst addiction I've ever encountered next to refined sugars. Graphite on paper. (2006)

Pete Doherty Sketch

Wow, I remember when I first discovered Pete Doherty. He was still with the Libertines! Such a cutey, all the while being a hot mess! Graphite on paper. (2006)

Skull

I enjoy looking at skulls and various bones. I think they're interesting. Sometimes they are far more beautiful than human flesh. Watercolor on paper. (2005)

Acid Flower

Acid flower indeed! You'd need a bathtub of the stuff to remember (or forget?) what the process was in creating this oil painting. All I know is that the flower represents womanhood. (2005)

DragonFly

More dragons! This one is done in oils. Yeah, on canvas. Textures! If you can't touch a painting to feel it, what's the point? (2005)

Dragon

I love dragons. They're fantastic creatures that protect the self from the self. This one is done in graphite on paper. Her name is Lavena, meaning "Joy." She doesn't look so happy, but she gets off on eating humans for lunch. (2005)

Guinness

No need for introductions here--this friend has been around forever! Undergrad, grad, post-grad, work, unemployment, in sickness and health - through the gamut of bfs - we had a passionate love affair, but sadly, I'm a controlled social drinker now. It's just for the taste, really. (2005)

Eggs

I like eggs. I torture them with liquids like vanilla and drown them in butter and sugar. I always throw them in the oven for a bit of warm-up before eating. (2005)

Self Portrait

Aw, I haven't played guitar in years. Well, the portrait was fun, though, I suppose. There's a backdrop of blood on the wall (of course). (2005)

Abstract

I like playing around with triangles. I'm not sure why. Oils on canvas. (2005)

Jonathan Davis

Jonathan Davis. Guy is hot--what else can I say? The mural is watercolor on an old plaster wall. (2005)

Hand

It's a poor photograph, but it shows a hand dipped in watercolor and then placed upon a canvas. (2004)

Horse

Heroin. Afghani battlefields. The Giant White Horse in your living room that friends and family fail to acknowledge because you make it so difficult. (2004)

Bride

I've spent a few days tagging along with a wedding photographer or two, watching how the ritual is played out. One of the stock photos the bride often gets involves putting her makeup on (though she's already had it professionally done). It's interesting, given that now, people are starting to question whether makeup poisons our skin. Note also the blood on the gown, summing up just exactly how much the bride is worth. (2004)

Poppies

Poppies stand front and center in our culture - from illegal drugs to pharms. There is no escape from them! This piece is a combination of watercolors and oils. (2004)

Smatter

I love playing with paint to create textures. (2004)

Still Bleeding

More of the same, only on different paper. (2004)

Experimentation

Once I got the bug to bleed on everything, I experimented with extremely wet watercolor paper and droplets of saturated reds. (2004)

Computer Screen

The photo is from a series that focused on blood. The ancient computer screen (which I was still using at the time) was covered in multiple layers of watercolour "blood." At the time, I was using an obsolete computer with Photoshop 7. Ah, the memories. (2004)
